This article covers how to set secure mail settings in Outlook 2007.

1. Navigate to Account Settings under the Tools tab.

2. Select the email account you wish to modify, then click change… in the E-mail tab.

For IMAP email, do the following. For POP, skip below to the next section:

3. Fill in all relevant information as shown below. Then click More Settings ...

4. Go to the Outgoing Server tab. Select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" as shown below. Click OK.

5. Go to the Advanced tab. Fill in the information as shown below, and click OK.

6. Review all information is correct, then click Next >.

7. Congratulations, you are done!

 

For POP email, follow this section:

3. Fill in all relevant information as shown below. Then click More Settings ...



4. Select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" as shown below. Click OK.

5. Go to the Advanced tab. Fill in the information as shown below, and click OK.

6. Review all information is correct, then click Next >.



7. Congratulations, you are done!
