If you have a backup of a MySQL database saved as an uncompressed .sql file or a compressed .sql.gz, .tar.gz or .tgz file, you can restore that database to your cPanel account fairly easily. Here's how to do it:
Please be aware that cPanel will only restore things that your cPanel account is permitted to use and may strip out advanced permissions. Also very large or corrupted backups may not restore properly. If the backup is too large to restore via cPanel, you may want to try BigDump, which uses PHP to try to import large sql files a little bit at a time. |
